Pumpkins

Yesterday was *Sledding*, today we headed to the Barn. No horses, cows or cow pies to be found, instead there were tons of pumpkins, lots of them, way bigger than me. MK, I looked for Linus, but couldn't find him.
I'm looking a little sad in this photo, the orange things are interrupting my sleeping in. *Rise and Shine* are not my favorite words.
But I did discover the....Great Pumpkin.
Since Mom was really inspired her visit to Missouri Botanical Garden and new patio is finally finished, it was time to spiffy-fy the terra-cotta pots with new plants.
Spiffy-fy-ing patio is work. Unload new treasures, scrub pots... wait time for a break ... get the camera... photo op....

  1. Suki,
You went to the barn and no animals. Bummer. I love them smells of the farm animals. When I go to work there is truck that has them wonderful smells. I check it out every morning. You will have to come sometime and see what I mean. Boy does those tires smell good.
You found the great pumpkin and you didn't have to stay up all night on all hallow. Man you always find that neat stuff. Sorry I missed out on it. Maybe next year I can go with you. My human brought a small one of them orange things back I checked it out but didn't see what the deal was. Smelled it and I don't need it. Will stick with my fox.

  2. Hi Brandy Lou!

Maybe we could go back Saturday. Mom was having a blonde moment & forgot to bring home a pumpkin for me.

Smells on tires, like squished cow-pies? My friend Pug, loves cow-pies.

    A hallow? Sounds really scary-spookie.

  3. Hiya Sukes,

You've got the supermodeling thing down! You look like a greek statue in that shot of you and the giant pumpkin. Nice!

I'm half-glad you live in Texas because my human would totally take a million pictures of your cute self (and forget all about ME).

  4. Hi Suki,

My human and I live in Austin and were wondering what your favorite pug haunts are. Now that I kind of sort of sometimes maybe behave on my leash (and have all my shots!) my human likes to take me out on the town!

So far my favorite place is the doggy park on Riverside. My human is always bummed when there aren't any small dogs for me to play with (which happens, like, every time we go), but I still have a good time.

What are your favorite places? My human didn't know you could take pets to the Botanical Gardens, but she is too afraid of something called "snakes" to take me.

    Lots of sniffs,
    Brooklyn the Pug

P.S. I'm going to my first ever Pug Meetup in November. Hope to see you there!

  5. Hi ya Pug!
Greek statue? Thank you for compliment. It would be an honor for your human to shoot me. I don't mind sharing the lime light & wouldn't think of taking it away from you or your cookies. I have my own due to food allergies & have special treats.

  6. Hi Brooklyn Pug!
Thank you for posting. Zilker Botanical Garden is great in mornings (before the hot temps), just remember poopie bags. Oh, gift shop is not dog friendly, my 12# body was asked to leave. Oh please!

No snakes so far at Garden. If you like to swim like I do, be careful at Lake Pfugerville. Swim at the beach, not by the rocks.

Will you be going to Great-pug-kin fest this Saturday?

Now if you like to swim at Lake Plugerville, that's a different story. Go to the beach, not by the rocks.

  7. Hi Suki,

Thanks for the advice! My human makes me wear this nasty orange torture device that makes me extra floaty when I go swimming, so I'm not too eager to repeat that experience just yet. You should see the looks the other dogs give me... How embarrassing!

I will not be going to Pugkin this Saturday. Boo! (And not in the spooky way, either.) On the bright side, this gives me a whole year to plan my costume for the next one!

Have fun at Pugkin, I know you will.

    Wag, wag, sniff, sniff,
    Brooklyn

  8. Hi Brooklyn,
You should insist to your human on going to Punkin. The pug meet ups are fun! You don't have to wear a costume. If you can't stay for the entire time, it's fun just to go for a little while. That's what I did the first time. What meet up are you going to in November?

I too have a floatie thing, mine is pink. Who cares what other dogs think. I love mine, it helps me keep up with my best friend Brandy. Now when we go hiking & swimming off leash at the creek, no vest is needed. Just watch out for cyclists on the trails.
