"C-Word Turned Into B-Word!"

I am so happy to announce... drum roll please... Think Positive worked!! The *C-word* turned into the *B-word*! Thanks Pug for getting the word out! Everyone's super-duper-positive-thinking-healing-powers are awesome! Plus the vet said it was "completely excised".

My Mom is surprised that I'm not bothering my nifty-spiffy foot wear. An added foot wear accessory is a plastic bag thingy to wear if the grass is wet. I do have to wear the cone of shame when she goes to work. To not make her feel so bad that I have to wear it, I get really excited when it appears. It makes her smile and she thinks I like the darn thing. She's so gullible, but then again, she's a blonde. (hehee).

No toys or hard treats have been more of a challenge. Yesterday, I got a special treat cut into little pieces. It looked-like-meat, but it tasted sweet. It sure was yummy.

Thanks again everyone!!!!

Dino Food

Last Sunday, I insisted one more adventure before "C-word" surgery. Destination was my choice... off to the Garden to find the elusive dinosaur.

The Garden is one of the favorites listed on adventures destinations. While exploring, low and be hold, voila... a path to where dinosaur food is delivered. Getting closer... still no sighting yet.
Rumor has it, a dinosaur has been spotted in this area of the Garden. Under foliage camouflage, I have yet to discover the prehistoric creature. There is always next time... Any suggestions on Dino spotting are welcome.

18 Toes and 41 Teeth

Back home from surgery and feeling really sleepy.

When I went to the vet this morning, there were 19 toes and 42 teeth. Now I have 18 toes and 41 teeth. How did this happen? I knew about the stupid *C-word* toe, but a tooth? Not just any tooth, the biggest one in my little mouth no less. Sometime between Saturday and today, I fractured my right side pre-molar. Probably by eating ice chips. Mom has already laid down the law, no more ice chips.

The vet even let me bring home the tooth to put under my pillow for the tooth fairy. Since the tooth had to be cut into three pieces, this could be a good thing, the tooth fairy could think its multiple teeth and she may leave more moolah.

10 day recovery process... cone of shame, if I chew my new fancy foot-wear. Wait, it gets worse...since there are stitches where the tooth was... no playing with toys, not even soft ones, no treats and only canned food. Try telling a puglette, no treats and no toys. YUCK!!

19th Toe = the "C" Word

I had 18 toes, now there's 19. How did this happen?... the 19th wasn't there two weeks ago.

Mom, Aunt Toad and Brandy & I loaded up & headed to the vet. Poor Brandy, she doesn't like the vet like I do... she stresses... Brandy did great!... a pedi, weigh in & special diet food. I was proud of her!

Glad Brandy was there for support...Today was not good.... my newly, mal shaped, sprouted 19th toe was diagnosed cancerous by my vet. Toe removal surgery is scheduled for Thursday. Guess this means agility is still on hold, again. What the heck?

Viewer discretion is advised...

19h toe is in the middle.

Ok, Enough of the pity party, I'm putting my big girl panties on and will be positive! Hmmm, lets see if the perfected, milk-it-for-all-its-worth technique still works...off to the store to get Pug's and Frank's latest and greatest snackable treat... tooble.
hmm, this smells good, but its not it... wait, one more sniff...

On the way home, stopped past Pier One for "Fresh Fig" votives, Mom's favorite.
Home at last! Now I can finally enjoy my treat. The milk-it technique still works!

Had a nice evening walk with Brandy and Macy, wonder why they were reluctant to pose for the camera? Any one have any ideas?

"Suzie" and a Texas Tortoise

Knew it would be an awesome day when I loaded up for day of adventure & George was serenading us via Mom's newest CD (Thanks Aunt Toad, & Camp Director & Brandy).

Today was fantastic!... Elevator ride, eating a coconut (sorry Ms. Gracen), meeting Uncle Bill, my cousins Tara, Jeff, Mr. Camden and Miss Gracen; Oh and Jeff's parents too. They came all the way from another state for a visit. Playing with the kiddos was sooo much fun!

I wanted to share my favorite place with them, Zilker Botanical Garden. Its a really cool place, lots of trails, a big koi pond (with fish way bigger than me), a dinosaur. I could go on and on...

Being at the Prehistoric Garden, I made my own discovery... It kept hiding its face inside its body, what's up with that? Could it be a prehistoric creature?... I have never seen one of these unsocializing creatures before. Come to find out, Mr. Google said it's a Texas Tortoise.

While working the camera in this Texas size kettle, I over heard the comment "we could make apple butter!" What? Surely not out of ME!

All day, Miss Gracen kept calling "Suzie", couldn't figure it out. No one that I was with was called "Suzie". Then Tara explained it... Miss Gracen thought my name was "Suzie". It made everyone laugh!

For some reason, Mom has been calling me "Six Toes", what's up with that? I have 18, not 6. Overheard her making an appointment at the Vet for Saturday. Don't get me wrong, the Vet is one of my favorite places to go, but this one has me just a wee bit worried?

Under the Cover of Darkness

A very special day, 6 week glamour shots. My favorite orthopedic surgeon took x-rays of my knee to check the healing progress. I heard the magical words I had been longing to hear... Released from surgical restrictions! Awesome. Its official... I'm truly bionic. But I still have to wait 2 months to start agility. Thank you Dr. B! This great news also means I will get to see my best friend BRANDY!

Almost forgot to mention, the poundage has left the building! I'm at a slim and trim 12.9 pounds. This does mean, increase of treats, right?

With restrictions gone, this is the perfect opportunity to seize the moment and find the pool key, under the cover of darkness. First, change the setting on the camera to night vision (not easily to accomplished... no thumbs). Second, waiting till Mom was distracted with her new phone, texting Aunt ML and Aunt Toad. This was hard work, for a pug to be quiet and not make nose-noises while sleuthing was a huge challenge.

KEYS! Yes, I found them.. but which one?... there are so many. Oh well, maybe it wasn't meant for me to swim at the human pool.

Wait, stop the presses... I found something else in my Mom's purse... besides the keys, there were two names of Men! George and Burt... George's picture was on this flat square thingy. He sure is handsome in his cowboy hat. Wonder what's inside the plastic case. Burt has something to do with bees and wax. Hmmm...
