Where's George?

Despite the cold weather and snow in Nashville, I was set on accomplishing a secret mission... to find George! Not any George, no Jones, or Gershwin (whom I do like his music), but THE George, my man, the one and only, Mr. Strait.

Where would he be? It's Nashville... so I tried the Ryman Auditorium. The Google Machine said this place was built eons ago in 1892.

So far, no luck, the search continues...

Please Vote

My Mom is so silly, she discovered the Austin American Statesman (our local newspaper) is having a Dog Show Photo contest. Needless to say, she got busy trying to decide which categories and which pictures to submit. (yes, I'm entered in the costume category too).

Today is the first day to vote on Holiday Spirit category. Brandy (my best friend) & I had so much fun grilling and celebrating 4th of July this year, Mom thought the picture would be perfect for this category.

Voting is today thru Wednesday, January 26th. What is really cool, there is no limit to how many times someone can vote! Please vote for us. Our picture is number 36.

Oodles & Oodles of Fabric

Its a cold, dreary, rainy day, no outside exploring adventures this weekend. After being lazy and sleeping in, we went shopping. First stop was to Mom's vast array of fabric stash. "Lots of yummy fabric" was the term I heard. Look at all the goodies we found for a special quilt.

Then she mentioned... we need just one more (yea right... an excuse to buy more fabric, heehee). So we headed off to the fabric store.

Oodles and oodles of fabric everywhere! I had no idea that fabric came on bolts, just thought that had something to do with screwdrivers, washers and hardware stuff. After visiting with the nice lady at the store, I over heard her comment... "that cute little pug squeaks". It made everyone laugh. I have also been told by my cousin that I meow when I yawn.

It was hard to choose which fabric to bring home, but Mom reassured me, I chose just the right one.

c. 1855 with a Soccer Field

Way, way... Way back in the day... Once upon a time... Long, long, Looong ago was Pioneer Homestead owned by John M. Gault. Sounds crazy, but that was the adventure, back in time. Shhh, don't tell Brandy, rumor has it, this place has a ghost... not a human one, but a cow ghost.

Could this be the door the cow ghost uses to get into the cabin? Did you notice its pad-locked, maybe to keep it out. While exploring, I didn't see any ghosts, thank goodness! Hmmm, Puglet talks about cow pies and how tastie they are, wonder if cow ghosts have them too?

Not quite sure what this beehive thingy is, but it smells like wood , maybe its a Texas size, pioneer chiminea?

I also learned something else, did you know the pioneer homesteads have a soccer field? Well this one does, commence a game of me trying to get Brandy to chase me. You all know much I love to run!

The Homestead is most certainly being added to my favorite adventure places. Maybe next time I will see the cow ghost.

Special Delivery Package

Yesterday, Mom told me, I should pay close attention to the mail. I couldn't figure out why. Could there be a special package addressed to ME? Wonder if this could have something to do with Couture measurement thing?

When Mom got home from work, she raced thru the back door while waving a package in the air .."it's here, it's here!" Then I started dancing and spinning in circles... It's HERE! My very own special delivery package addressed to ME! (Side note... spinning is saved for breakfast and dinner time, but I made an exception today).

But what could it be? It's wrapped in my favorite color tissue paper. Hmmm. Wow, it came from clear across the Country just for Moi.

Then there it was, a perfectly fitting Bada$$ Skully Sweater!! Noodle and your Mom, Thank You!!!!!

Snow & The Human Spa

Besides seeing Santa at the airport, he also had a surprise waiting for me at Neena's home.... SNOW, all the way from the North Pole! I love the snow! It was only my second time to play in the cold stuff. Last February, by a fluke, it snowed in Austin.

Neena also had a surprise for me. A trip to a real human spa for pedi's. Not sure how only the humans got pedi's. Maybe its because my legs are to short to reach the foot thingy.

Papa thought this picture was funny, it looks like I have a human leg. Heheee.

I was able to do lots of fun tourist-ie things too, we were able to visit historical places... more to come on that later.

But in the mean time, Mom says I need to pay close attention to the mail for something special. Hmm.. wonder what it could be..? I can't wait!!
