Stars & Hogs

All week, Mom has been giving hints about a special surprise adventure. But I haven't been able to figure it out... First hint was the adventure would be a first for both of us, some place with cold temperatures & close to home... but how can that be? This weekend afternoon's temps were record breaking 90 + degrees, Pug melting weather. Another hint was I had my own ticket and seat. What...? The only ticket I've had was for an airplane ride to Neena's & Papa's house and I had to ride under a seat. Now I get my own seat and not sit under someone's derriere?...Awesome! One last clue was something about Stars & Hogs. This had me so baffled... Plus, Brandy stayed at her home, what the heck? She always goes on adventures.
Once we arrived to the surprise adventure destination, my papers had to be checked. Thank goodness there wasn't an airport naked body scanner, what a relief. Mom got a goofy wrist band that signifies that we cleared security.... What's going on?... We are in a ginormous building that is cold, what a relief from the melting temperatures.
Oh my goodness, there it is... Stars and Hogs hockey game! Mom said it was meant to be destination... doggies allowed, first hockey game for all of us, plus the Stars are playing against the Rockford Hogs. Wish my Uncle, Aunt & cousins could be here.

Mom has thrown out a first pitch at a baseball game, I want to participate in a hockey face off or at least ride the Zamboni machine. Maybe next time. The Texas Stars lost 5 to 1. But it was a great time!

  1. That looks awesome! Wish we could do something like that here. Maybe our baseball team will do that.

  2. Oooooohh! You went to a HOCKEY game?! Wow! How was it? I've only seen hockey on tv. All my humans are big hockey fans. 'Course my huMOM says that if I got to go to a hockey game I'd spend the entire time trying to scavenge tasty treats (that I'm most likely alergic to) off the floor!
YES, you have to find a way to ride the Zamboni!! That would be awesome!!!

  3. Looks like a great time. My mom's seen the Great One play, but this would have topped even that - taking me to a game.

I love your zamboni. It's mom's favorite part of the game - round and round they go. She's says her next pug will be named Zamboni!

Glad you had a great time. I wish we had that up here in Fort Worth. Or better, a baseball game that dogs could go to.

  6. Hi Noodle,

It was soooo much fun! A big white boxer sitting behind us even howled along to the National Anthem. Oh yes, I have added riding a zamboni to my list of must do adventures.

  7. Hi Southern Fried Pugs,

You definetly need to go to a baseball game. The Texas Rangers has a minor league team close to my home. Last summer, Mom checked w/ them, but they don't have a doggie day. Boo-hiss.

    Suki

  8. Hi Gracie,

Your Mom is so lucky to have seen Mr. Gretzky play. Zamboni would be an adorble name for a pug-a-roonie.

  10. Hi Sequoia and Tuni,

It was a fantastic time! It was funny, when I first walked into the building, all I heard from everyone around..."Awe, Look! Its a cute little Pug". I felt kinda of like a celebrity.
