Oh my goodness, I couldn't wait to go to the dog park. This park adventure was to meet my new friend Chester, my nickname for him, 'The Linebacker". Chester is a real sweetie-pie (I'm sure he wouldn't want to be called that in public, hehee, snort). For those that of you like me that have had the pleasure of meeting Puglet, Chester is about the same size but has a broader chest.

I showed Chester how to go on the agility dog walk, but he had no interest what so ever. (Thanks Mom, this shot makes my paws look like snow shoes.). Something else was on his mind...

In a stealth move, Chester stepped in as my body guard from the big brown boxer that was checking out my pink water bowl. You can't see me in the boxer picture, but Chester is standing between me and the big dog, keeping an eagle eye on Big Brownie.

Then when the little terrier dogs in the park started getting rowdy with each other, Chester would come stand in front of me with his broad chest stuck out. His strong stature was enough to tell them, "don't you even think about it!" (Darn, Mom didn't get any pictures of this).

The morning went by to fast. It was time to head home before the pug melting temperatures would set in. Time to hibernate. It was so much fun to meet Chester in the fur, looking forward to seeing him again.
Suki, you look like you had such a good time with brave, brave Chester!
ReplyDeleteI smiled at your comment on your feet, because I have feet just like you!

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a really good time, and my Pugness Chester looks HUGE compared to you, I'm so glad that he protected you from the Boxer dog, its so cute that he was protective of you, Chester looks like a night club bouncer!!
I'm laughing at the foot comment too, you seem to have really long toes, thats how you can run so fast hugh? You look so pretty and the photos are great as usual, hope to see more Suki playtime fun soon!

Hi Frank,
DeleteChester, the bouncer! That's a good one. Stay tuned next week, Mom has a surprise for me this weekend! The only clues I've received is there will be filled with lots of play time & running.
Hugs,
Suki
I'm glad Chester's got your back, when Arnie isn't there to protect you.

Holy cow - Chester is RIPPED! I've never seen a tougher looking dude of the pug variety. Glad to hear he's on your side, Suki. Sounds like he did a great job protecting you at the park.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how easily you got up on that agility obstacle. Sounds like you may be ready for the BIG TIME. :)
-Love,
Sid.
Hi Sid,
ReplyDeleteThe dog walk was so much fun. Oh my goodness, wait till you hear about what I did last weekend, you are going to freak out! Hehee, snort.
Hugs,
Suki
I'm glad Chester let those rowdy terriers know not to mess. After my incident last week, I've got an axe to grind with some terriers. Grrrr! If I ever get to Texas, maybe you can show me some of your new agility moves?
ReplyDelete-Rupert
Hi Rupert,
DeleteYou & your Mom are welcome to come visit!! That would be awesome to see you in the fur & to do agility.
Hugs,
Suki
Thanks for letting us meet Chester. He is such a pawsome friend and the nickname Linebacker suits him right. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
