Today, Mom said we were going on an exciting adventure... somewhere I have never been before. Where could it be? I go on adventures all the time, thought I have been almost everywhere... Hmmm...Mom said for me to pick out some toys to pack... Pack? What's that? So I dove straight into my toy basket and came up with a few toys, including my favorite snake.
Apparently, packing is putting my favorite stuff into a fabric box with wheels, a handle and zippers. Before I knew it, my coats, sweaters, poop bags, potty pads, food, were in the wheely box. Hmmm. There's a clue here, coats & sweaters... must be going some place cold.
Woohoo! I'm going to see Neena & my brother Pooh Bear as well as two legged & four legged family! This will be an awesome adventure, my very first plane ride. Wonder if the Aircraft Captain will give me wings to wear on my harness or coat.Ok, now there maybe two major problems... First one... Will Santa know where to deliver my presents & stocking stuffers? Neena doesn't have a fireplace, how will Santa put the presents under the tree? Second... security screening at the airport... Really, I could be screened by some machine that makes dogs & humans appear in their naked-ness? Then there could be the pat down.
Does anyone have flying words of wisdom for a first time flier?

Pooh Bear said, "Flutter those eye lashes for the pilot and maybe you'll get your wings."
ReplyDeleteJust 5 days until you land at BNA! What fun we are going to have! Papa & Neena are so excited!
There are lots of toys at my house you may play with, Sis.
See you Saturday!

ReplyDeleteLincoln and I are going on a plane too in a couple of days. Santa will find you. I promise.

Hi Suki,
ReplyDeleteI flew in October to Pug Nationals in Ohio. The experience was awful..mom put me into this pop up carrier (I'm a tall pug and the sherpa bags didn't work). Then she carried me, I hate my feet off the ground, then I got stuffed under the seat in the plane. Then the lady worker on the plane told my mother that I had to go under the plane..but mom refused. Then we stopped in Dallas, then it was on to Ohio repeating the carry, stuff process. Mom said never again..I'm a good car traveler but not a good plane guy.
Guess Pug Nationals in Rhode Island are not in my future.
Enjoy your trip, ask mom to put a collapsable bowl in her purse for water and some baby wipes...ya never know when you'll need a cool towel.
Emmitt from San Antonio...the bad flyer.
Suki your trip sound like fun! I think I will go flying as well for the holiday. I am HOPING for a ride in Santa's Sleigh!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Neena, Papa & Pooh Bear!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to see you too!

Suki
Hi Minnie & Mack,
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you too. Will update blog later next week. Can't wait to see what happens.
Hugs,

Hi Minnie Moo,
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool that you two are flying also. They say it's a small world, wouldn't it be funny if we saw each other at the airport.
Hope Lincoln has been getting use to his carrier.
I hope your right about Santa finding me. Thank you.
Hugs to you & Lincoln,
Suki
Hi Emmitt,
ReplyDeleteThank goodness your Mom stood up for you, I hear it's a bad place to ride under the plane. Sorry you had such a bad experience. Have you thought about having your Mom drive you to next Nationals?
Mom said thank you for the idea on baby wipes. My travel bowl is already packed.
Hugs,
Suki
Hi Noodles!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I didn't know Santa takes pugs for a ride in his sleigh! That sounds so much like fun. Maybe he let me ride too?
Keep me posted if you get to ride in the magical sleigh.
Hugs,
Suki
