Today was a very special day in history! Its Gotcha Day! On February 2, 2008, I came home with my Mom.On that momentous day, I was in a pen, playing chase with my sisters. Even as a puppy, I could out run all of them. Then it happened, I was scooped up, held very close, received lots of kisses ( I gave plenty of kisses back) and then she put me back in the pen. What?... Really?... So I promptly started the milk it for all its worth technique. Standing on my back legs, reaching thru the pen, batting my big brown eye and whining. My sisters were still playing chase which I didn't want to have anything to do with. I wanted this new human. It WORKED! She scooped me back up and we headed to my new home.

I was a little bitty 2 pound whipper-snapper and all paws that resemble snow shoes. Even the soup can is almost bigger than myself.
Does anyone else celebrate Gotcha Day?
Oh Suki! I think you're the cutest thing I've ever seen!! Barely able to see over a soup can!! Just too much....
ReplyDeleteWe were just talking about my Gotcha Day!! It's coming up on the 20th!! I'm so excited because I heard my grandmaw say that she's going to bake me special COOKIES! My humans were also talking about taking me somewhere fun where there might be other doggies. Oh I'm so excited!! Though I've been around for a while, this is my first REAL Gotcha Day and I can't wait!!!
HAPPY GOTCHA DAY SUKI!!
Happy Gotcha Day. We don't really celebrate that around here. We're all rescues, so the decision to keep us was made after we'd been at mom's for awhile. Usually followed by the phrase, "I really don't need another pug, but" LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a great day. Keep on milkin' it!

Absolutely we celebrate Gotcha Days! And our birthday. Honestly, any day we get pupcakes is a celebration day. Mom makes up days to celebrate.
