Shopping, Shopping & More Shopping

We had company this weekend, my Neena came to visit me from far away. I haven't seen her since Christmas and couldn't wait for her to arrive.

Oh my goodness, our schedule was jammed packed with activities. Saturday, Mom was busy on the phone calling stores where I have never been before... over & over, I heard, Oh Yea! Pug friendly stores, here we come.

The first stop was Barnes & Noble. Mom has something up her sleeve... she has been talking about a grand adventure that will be a first for both of us. Shhh, don't tell, I discovered a clue. But all these books have me confused.

Mom didn't pack her camera, so she had to use her phone. She even missed a photo op of my first escalator ride. I need to have a talk with her.

There was only one damper of the day... We were going to sit on the patio & have lunch at a resturant that makes "Cheese Cakes & is a Factory". They claim to be Pug friendly, the lady took us to the patio, showed us a table by a fence. Oh, I thought this was going to be so much fun, then the lady said, your dog has to sit outside the fence. What?! Mom told the lady: That's not happening, it's right next to where the cars drive! Then we turned on our heels and left. You should have seen the steam coming out her ears! I wanted to tell that lady, what you want me to be a pug pancake flattened by a car!? What the heck! I think I had a of steam coming out of my ears too, I was looking forward to any morsels of food that may have been dropped by the humans. I should have gone poodle on her. Hehee.

Next stop... The Pottery Barn. Oh my, they were so nice, lots of attention & hugs & pets. I found these cool rugs, but they stayed at the store. Lots of other goodies came home with us, I was just glad there was enough room in the runner for me, Mom & Neena.

Next stop was the Container Store. They were super excited to see me. FYI my friends, if you have a Container Store near you, make sure you get your humans to take you, the clerk at the store said they are VERY dog friendly.

Final stop was Crate & Barrell, but when Mom called them, they said I could go in, but I had to be carried. Which was fine by me, all this shopping made this little puggie tuckered out.

  1. What a big day you had! Isabelle can relate to the shopping related exhaustion. It can wear you out!

How dare that restaurant even think you'd be on the outside of the fence! Our mom is kind of weird and avoids those chain restaurants as much as she can. Now, here's her reason to really avoid that one. And their whipped cream is icky.

  2. That is a great day! We have a container store by us, so I'm going to get my mom to take me soon. Oh, that cheese factory place did that to me too! The nerve! Glad you had lots of fun anyway.

  3. Wow, so many pup friendly stores in your town. We are going to mention this to hu-mom, maybe she'll take us to more spots besides PetsMart (Which she never goes too and Home Depot, boring.)

  4. We will definitely be visiting a Container Store. Mom is something of a container-a-holic.

  6. Last week, when blogger was down, it sent all my friends comments somewhere in cyber-space. Thank you all for commenting. Glad to know, I'm not the only one who has had issues with the Factory place.

  8. Hi Neena,

It was alot of fun, now you have experienced Pug melting weather. That's why in the summer, all my adventures are early in the morning. Thank goodness the stores we went to had A/C.

    Hugs,
    Suki
