Turn Right.., Now!

This past weekend was suppose to be the vestie-aquatic adventure. The gear was loaded up and we were off following the directions of the voice of the Garmin. Being a new destination, Mom wanted to get the directions just right. HA! Mom and the Garmin must have been having a blonde moment. The Garmin said "Turn right..., Now!" Thanks for the advance warning. Well the turn was missed and we pulled into a parking lot to turn around. That's when I realized we were in my favorite adventure place in Austin! I had no idea there could be an aquatic adventure right next door to The Garden. Maybe I was having a blonde moment too. How come I've never noticed this before?

Since I was already hear, Mom changed the plans and I went for a hike and exploring instead. Zilker Botanical Garden is a hidden gem in the heart of Austin. It's a wonderful place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy all the sounds and smells of nature. Plus its the only place in Austin that isn't brown and crispy.

This picture makes Mom laugh. While she thinks I'm being silly, little does she know, this expression is just for her for not taking me on the aquatic adventure. Mom promises the vestie-aquatic adventure WILL be next weekend, if its not rained out. Yes, there is a chance of rain. I will believe it when I see it raining.

  2. Hi Suki! I'm not use to seeing you with green in the background...kinda strange! I bet you enjoyed the pretty day of fun with your mom. Say, what makes that garden prehistoric? There aren't any dinosaurs are there? I bet you could go there at night and hunt for a snipe! Anyway, Sid is totally right - that last photo of you with your cute little pink tongue is just the best!
    Love,

  4. Hi Suki, what a wonderful adventure you had, your photos are so cute and I love how tiny you look amid the long grass, I bet you had so much fun sniffing around discovering new sights and smells! I'm wondering the same as Payton, what makes the place prehistoric?? Are there dinosaurs there? Did you meet any or at lest any big crickets or bugs? It looks like such a beautiful and relaxing place! I'm glad you had fun and my puggy nose will be glued to the blog to see your aquatic adventure, love Frank x x x x

  6. Hi Payton, Hi Frank,
This part of the Garden is Prehistoric because it has a dinosaur, a Ornithomimus statue. Say that three times fast. in 1992, dinosaur tracks & bones were discovered at the Garden. Next time I go, I will be on the look out for a snipe.

    Hugs,
    Suki
