1000 Pugs - Grapevine Botanical Garden Recap

On Saturday evening, I knew something wasn't right, Payton and her parents were going to head home on Sunday morning. No, it couldn't be time for my friend & her parents to drive home already. But something else was going on. I kept going up to Payton's face, getting up really close & gently smelling her face, then staring at my Mom. My friend wasn't feeling her normal perky self. So her parents decided to take her to the emergency vet, we all were so worried. With much relief, I'm thankful to say Payton is feeling so much better & made it home safely, despite a flat tire. The survivor just celebrated her 9th birthday on Wednesday!

Here's a disclaimer for this adventure blog... I usually don't let Mom post human pictures ... hello... it's Short Tails of Suki! Well, today is an exception.

Next stop on the 1000 Pug adventure, Grapevine Botanical Garden.

Once we finally arrived at the Garden, the rain had stopped, it was still cold. To keep warm, Mark scooped me up, tucked me away in his fleece jacket. Oh my goodness, talk about being warm and toastie.

Hey Mom, a fleece jacket would be nice to add to the wardrobe. Preferably a light colored one, so it doesn't show all the pug hair.

Arnie, Gracie, Tiffy's Mom & I got to hang out with Puglet while Miss Amanda was "shooting" Pugs. Notice who is posing for the camera & those that are concentrating on scoring a treat. Yep that's right. Puglet is posing for a C-A-N-O-N.

Then it was time to explore the Garden. The Garden was beautiful and was surprised by how much was in bloom.

Shhh, Don't tell! When Mom wasn't looking I snuck in this picture of Mom with Puglet.

  1. Hi Suki, my friend! Thanks for the shout-out. You totally knew I wasn't feeling good and let the peeps know for me. You are awesome! I wish I didn't get sick and didn't have to leave early because I am so jealous of your Gardens adventure. Those pictures of the 3 Musketeers are just great! And the one where you are facing the camera and Pug has his back towards it...so cool. Even the last one of your mom and Pug's profile is perfect. I'm glad you had such a great day. Oh, I can't wait to hear about your photo shoot next!
    Love,
    Payton

    1. Hi Gampy,

Payton is the best. You are so funny, but I think your right, Pug could be an Akita, especially since his paws are a big as one.

      Hugs,
      Suki

    1. Hi PT,

Yep, I'm a small little girl. People often ask my Mom: "How old is your puppy?" With a smile, Mom replies, "She's years old." Hehee, snort.

      Hugs,
      Suki

  7. Those are some great photos, Suki! That photo under the flowering tree is spectacular. Your little troupe has some supermodel power. I can't believe how tiny you are compared to Puglet - it's funny to think you guys are both the same kind of dog.

    -Love,
    Sid.
