Grillin' Time

The weather was beautiful today. To pretty to be inside... it was grillin' time. On the menu, grilled jalapenos for home made salsa and rib eye steak. Yum! But wait... no rib eye in the freezer, improvise... grilled dogs.

When it comes to grillin' I'm THE Master Sous Chef. The little smokey grill is the perfect pug size where I can keep an eye on the cooking.

As Sous Chef, no thermometer needed to check for doneness. My sniffer is a built in instant read thermometer.

Then I discovered a cute Anole Lizard. This guy is a master of disguise... he may look gray one moment, in a blink of an eye, he can be a vibrant chartreuse with a red dewlap hanging from its neck.

What? No, really, I wasn't trying to sneak a dog off the grill I was just enjoying the aromas. I promise.

Hi Arnie! My bags are packed, I can't wait to see you!

  3. Suki, that food on the grill looks SO DANG TASTY! I don't know how your 'rents kept you away especially since that grill is right at muzzle level. I would not have been able to resist the temptation. I hope you were able to score some hot dog pieces at least.

    -Love,
    Sid.

P.S. You look really cute in that second photo - you've got a fantastic profile! :)
